Feathers

‘Hope Is The Thing with Feathers’ is a choral call-to-arms for nature conservation, at the heart of which beats highlights from Christopher Tin’s emotive Grammy-nominated concept album The Lost Birds.
Hear the message of the birds from the quills of Emily Dickinson, Edna St Vincent Millay and Mary Coleridge, carried on the wings of compositions by Stanford, Vaughan Williams and Ravel.
Flocking alongside these beloved 20th-century choral classics are jazz standards from Ella Fitzgerald and Louis Armstrong, pop hits from The Beatles and The Carpenters, plus merry medieval madrigals, all of which alight on themes of peace, hope and love.
Among our musical menagerie you’ll spot cranes, wild swans, blackbirds, bluebirds, cuckoos, nightingales, turtle doves and the sweet Suffolk owl, all with a tale to tell of their fight for survival.
Join us on this flight of fancy with our feathered friends for a dusk chorus of words and music that will set your heart aflutter and perch in your soul.
